AF-800 Automatic Hydraulic Suction Scanner Filters

ApplicationsMedium flow screen filter with automatic suction back flushing for standard industrial and municipal applications. Very popular in the irrigation sector.

Standard Characteristics:

Operation:

The filter is equipped with a coarse screen that protects the finer screen from stones and larger particles. The coarse screen can be periodically cleaned manually. Automatic flushing of the fine screen is activated once the pressure differential (ΔP) in the filter reaches a pre-determined value (up to 0.5 bar). During the flushing cycle, the flushing valve opens, pressure is released from the hydraulic piston and debris-laden water is discharged through the flushing valve. Pressure in the hydraulic motor chamber and the dirt collector is significantly lowered causing the dirt collector nozzles to move along and rotate cleaning the whole internal screen surface. The flushing cycle takes 5 seconds. The flushing valve closes at the end of the cycle, pressure reapplied to the piston, moving the nozzles back to their rest position, and the filter is cleaned. During the whole process water supply is uninterrupted.

Large capacity and flexibility

AMI Penta can control up to 100 groups with individual start conditions. For each group you can choose between 20 different recipes with information about EC, pH and the fertilizer mix. Each group can control up to 30 valves, and these can be chosen freely between the 200 valves available today in the mixer. Up to 9 valves can irrigate at the same time which gives a maximal utilization of the capacity. Irrigation time and volume can be set individually for each valve.

Underlining it’s quality, AMI Penta operates with the very well-known brand GRUNDFOS as the main mixer pump.

Optimizing of water resources

To get the same water mix to all valves in the same group, you can mix fresh water sources and return water in ratio percentages. Up to 8 return water basins can be selected with individual control. Thereby the return water is recycled and the water resources optimized.

The world around us is changing. Change has always been a part of this planet, but recently the rate at which
change occurs has been accelerating. Extreme weather phenomena, such as tsunamis, earthquakes, heat waves,
cold fronts and floods are becoming more and more common. The natural and agricultural environment is highly affected by climate change. The leafing out, blooming, flowering, ripening of fruits, water balance and so on are all very susceptible to stress and severe damage as a result of the extreme weather.
One of these extreme weather events is the drop of temperatures below 0˚C, namely frost. When these drops in temperature occur out of season, the plants are ill-equipped to cope with it on the physiological level, and they suffer severe damage as a result.


There are two kinds of frost:
Advection Frost (Windy Frost or Black Frost) occurs when a cold air mass (cold front) moves into an area, bringing
freezing temperatures. Wind speed is usually above 8 km/h. Possible protection against this kind of frost is very limited. Radiation Frost occurs when, with a clear sky and calm winds, the temperature near the surface of the earth drops to below freezing point. As temperatures drop, the cold air flows downward to lower topographic areas. That is where most of the damage is seen. Efforts have been made to come up with a solution for this kind of frost; a way to alleviate the damage caused by the low temperatures. In order to do so, we utilize the same basic laws of nature that play an important role in creating the frost itself. Many methods have been used to protect fields and plantations
from frost, including smokers, wind machines, helicopters, the burning of tires and the use of sprinklers. Some methods have been more successful than others. The use of sprinklers was found most efficient in most cases.

Tavlit filter TVD

TAVLIT line of automatic disc filters model TVD combines high quality depth filtration with efficient flushing of the disc element. This unique automatic disc filter (patented), enables flushing at a very low pressure of 1.5 bar as compared to 3 bars normally required by such systems. The innovative technology of the filter uses venturi devices inserted at the spine´s inlets that introduce air during the flushing process to enhance it. the mixture of air and water enables more efficient flushing, uses smaller quantities of water for flushing and shortens the flushing time. It also enables proper flushing at a low pressure.

The use of air also cushions the discs thereby reducing friction and prolonging the disc element life. The venturi devices insert air from the atmosphere and no external power or compressed air is required. The venturi devices are open only during flushing and do not operate during filtration.

The filter element is composed of highly accurate grooved discs from excellent quality plastic materials. The grooved discs are compressed together to form the filtration element. The intersections between the grooves and the outer surface of the element offer large effective filtration surface with in depth area used to stop debris is especially effective in filtration of organic matter.
